Malta man arrested for forged license plate

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Police arrested a Malta man during a traffic stop for allegedly having a forged temporary license plate with a suspended registration on May 28. Kenneth Rossen, 61, was charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument along with traffic infractions.

• Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked registration
• Second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
• Improper plates

Police said they stopped Rosssen for not having a plate lamp and not signaling when changing lanes while traveling southbound on the Northway (I-87). Officers then found Rossen's vehicle had a suspended registration, his license was suspended three or more times on three different days for failure to answer a summons, appear, or pay a fine. Rossen was issued an appearance ticket for a later date in Clifton Park Town Court.
