Chhattisgarh Naxal Encounter: Six senior-ranking Naxalites, part of the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) military company no. 1, were among the eight killed in a recent encounter in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district. The operation, part of the 'Maad Bachao Abhiyan,' is a significant success for local police and central paramilitary forces. The slain Naxalites carried rewards totaling Rs 48 lakh. The encounter also resulted in the recovery of weapons and explosives. A police constable was martyred, and two others injured. This marks the fourth major success in 45 days against Naxalites in the Bastar division.
