Japan sees record spike in infections caused by tissue-damaging bacteria

Japan is reporting a record spike in infections caused by a rare and deadly tissue-damaging bacteria. The National Institute of Infectious Diseases reported 977 cases of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome this year.
