Professor Simone Ferriani, professor of entrepreneurship at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), and academics from the University of Bologna examined airline industry networks, and found that disruptions could provide opportunities for companies on the periphery of networks to build connections much more successfully and gain influence within their industry.
