A six-year-old boy, Abu Bakkar Saha, was swept away by storm water in an open drain in Unit-III area while playing. His body was later found by fire services personnel. Manoranjan Rout led the operation and the boy was declared brought dead at Capital Hospital. The incident led to the announcement of Rs 4 lakh compensation by CM Mohan Charan Majhi and involvement of BMC mayor Sulochana Das.
