Virat Kohli Makes Day For Youngster In Barbados With Noble Gesture Ahead Of IND Vs AFG Game – WATCH

New Delhi: Virat Kohli made a youngster’s day in Barbados as the former India captain gave his autograph on an Indian jersey, the video of which went viral on social media. In what looked like the youngster is of Indian origin, he along with a lady, probably his mother, approached Kohli for an autograph at Hilton Barbados Resort. Kohli, in white shorts and a black tee, came forward and duly gave his autograph on the Indian jersey which had his name.

Earlier, Kohli met West Indies legend Sir Wesley Hall at Barbados, the video of which went viral on social media. The 86-year-old gifted Kohli his book ‘Answering to the Call’. Hall, who was known for his sheer pace in his playing days, also had a brief conversation with Kohli, and heaped praise on the former India captain, called him a ‘great player’, and hoped that he would continue to play for India.

Published in November 2022, ‘Answering to the Call’ revolves around Hall’s illustrious cricketing career and his journey to become one of the top pacers in the history of the game. The second part of the book was released earlier this year which reveals Hall’s time as a senator and a politician.

Along with Kohli, head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma received Hall’s book. “I gave three books today. I gave a book to the captain (Rohit Sharma) and another one to the coach (Rahul Dravid) and Virat Kohli. All three of them are great players. It’s good to see people getting rewarded. Sometimes, you are a good player, and you haven’t made it. I think they have done very well for India,” Hall told ANI.

The Men in Blue have been unbeaten in this T20 World Cup so far with three wins against Ireland, Pakistan and USA. However, India’s game against Canada was washed out. In the Super 8 stage, India will face Afghanistan (June 20), Bangladesh (June 22) and Australia (June 24).
