Fed’s Cook says rate cut will be appropriate ‘at some point’ but gives no time estimate

The Federal Reserve should be able to cut interest rates with inflation coming down and the labor market cooling, but the timing of any move is uncertain, Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook said Tuesday.
