The UP government, in response to frequent leaks of examination papers, adopted an ordinance on Tuesday aimed at curbing the practice. The ordinance imposes strict penalties on anyone implicated in paper leaks, including institutions and individuals connected to them. Penalties range from two years to life imprisonment, accompanied by fines that could amount to Rs 1 crore.
