Maps show how Multnomah County neighborhoods voted in May election
PORTLAND, Ore. (PORTLAND TRIBUNE) -- Challenger Nathan Vasquez defeated incumbent Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt in the May 2024 election, but not all of Multnomah County was on board with Vasquez.
Precinct-level election results show where Vasquez found the most support.
County-wide, Vasquez received 53.3% of votes, while Schmidt got 46.3%, meaning Vasquez won by a seven-point margin.
But in some areas, Vasquez won by as much as a 45-point margin. Precinct 5202, which includes rural Multnomah County east of Gresham and Troutdale, went 72% for Vasquez.
Schmidt won most of the inner east side of Portland, but with small margins that couldn’t outweigh Vasquez’s big wins in other areas.
