Mountain-sized asteroid to reach Earth's proximity this week, here's what we know

Known as a 'planet-killer' asteroid, it is set to pass the Earth by a very narrow distance at a rapid velocity of nearly 60,000 miles per hour. Reportedly, the asteroid will pass at 17 times the distance of the moon from the Earth.
