The fashion enthusiasts of TikTok have lauded the new creative director of Bottega Veneta with the sincerest form of flattery. The Bottega Drop Earrings ($820) were an immediate standout from Matthieu Blazy's debut collection and consequently, a frenzied search for Bottega earring dupes ensued.
The studs were a hit among the likes of Kylie Jenner and Dua Lipa, and have since kicked off a trend of incorporating sculptural statement jewelry into everyday outfits. I tried Ana Luisa's Kiara earrings ($75), which bear an uncanny resemblance to the real deal. When I'm not wearing these, I'll put on the Sofia earrings ($75) for their classic Cartier-inspired seashell shape that's perfect for summer.

Even for a statement earring, they're the perfect size for me to wear casually like the it-girls who popularized them tend to do (though I must first pay credit to all the elementary school art teachers who made chunky jewelry cool to begin with). This affordable alternative is practically indistinguishable from the real Bottega Veneta earrings, and best of all, they cost over $800 less.
