The report says that Spurs are considering multiple options across Europe as they search for a backup to Pedro Porro, with Emerson Royal expected to depart the club.

It is revealed that Monoca’s £34m valuation of Vanderson is deemed too high by Tottenham this summer.

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites also do not want to get involved in a bidding war with Liverpool for Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida.

They could thus turn their attention to Walker-Peters, with the North London side thought to be willing to re-sign the player they sold to Southampton in 2020.

With the 27-year-old having just one year left on his deal at St Mary’s, he is allegedly seen as a ‘good low-cost option’ by Tottenham while the fact that he is considered homegrown and club-trained also makes him an attractive target.

However, the publication adds that the England international would have to be convinced about his role in Ange Postecoglou’s squad before he gives the green light to the move.

Walker-Peters would not want to return to Tottenham to warm the bench and will likely ask for assurances of game time, which Postecoglou might not be able to offer him.

The 27-year-old is not going to have any shortage of suitors this summer and a deal might thus be difficult for Spurs to pull off.
