AUSTIN (KXAN) -- No injuries were reported after the Austin Fire Department responded to a house fire near U.S. Highway 183 in south Austin on Saturday, according to a social media post from the agency.
Around 5:15 p.m., the AFD said it responded to the a house garage fire in the 4300 block of south U.S. 183. Crews were on the scene "battling the fire" with an extension to a house.

Shortly before 6 p.m., AFD said the fire was under control, and crews remain on the scene to check for "hot spots." Additionally, the agency said all residents were able to evacuate safely.
AFD said one lane is open on southbound U.S. 183. Drivers should expect delays or seek an alternate route.
