The industry department has developed a new Producer Price Index (PPI) model to better capture input prices, shared with the IMF, according to DPIIT Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. Moving towards PPI, consultations with MoSPI and necessary procedural clearances are ongoing, though no timeline has been provided.
