Afghanistan issues nearly 42,000 visas to foreign nationals in past year

KABUL, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan caretaker government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued visas to 41,959 foreign nationals over the past one year, official data showed on Thursday.

Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that currently there are 39 Afghan embassies and consulates operating in various countries.
