Feeling Like August in Late September

Above normal temperatures and mid-summer heat continues to build into Acadiana on this Thursday. Areas of fog are developing to start the day with temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Highs return into the mid 90s with heat index values hotter than 100°. A few spotty showers are possible in the afternoon too. Very hot and mostly quiet weather is expected throughout the weekend.
