Diverse Fleet and Competition
The regatta draws a wide variety of boats, from high-performance racers to competitive bareboats. Plenty of charter options are available for sailors, whether they are looking for a full-boat or head charter.
Michael Wilson’s Thoughts on the Regatta
Michael Wilson, skipper of the Cape 31 Shotgunn, reflected on his experience at the 2024 event: “It’s been a really good regatta. The variation of racing was refreshing, with Round Tortola and Scrub Island earlier in the week.”
Sail Racing Academy’s Escapado: A Unique Experience
Sail Racing Academy’s Escapado, a Beneteau First 40.7, has been a regular at the BVI Spring Regatta. In 2024, their diverse crew featured sailors aged 21 to 60, offering a mix of skills and experiences. First-time participant Ben Newman shared his thoughts: “The BVI is absolutely beautiful. The technical racing through narrow channels made it even more fun.”
