Wanted suspect shot in Gahanna after deputies attempt to serve arrest warrant

GAHNNA , Ohio (WCMH) – A wanted suspect was shot Wednesday morning by deputies who were serving an arrest warrant.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, one person has been hospitalized after being shot by deputies in Gahanna. A FCSO SWAT unit was serving a warrant at 825 Tech Center Drive, which is being renovated into the future site of the Gahanna Municipal Complex.

The suspect is listed in critical condition, through the injury appears to be non-life threatening, the sheriff’s office said. A gun was recovered at the scene.

No other injuries were reported and BCI has been called to assist in the investigation. It is unknown what led to the shooting or what the arrest warrant alleged.
