Retired NYPD detective helped capture fugitive who shot girlfriend and killed her teen son

Patricia Schiller, a 20-year member of New York’s Finest, had heard the suspected killer was on the run near her tiny real estate office off Peekskill Hollow Road — so she strapped on her gun and went to make sure the place was okay.
