Body found in hunt for missing woman last seen in London on Saturday night
A body has been found in the search for an artist who went missing in London during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police have confirmed that the body of Sarah Cunningham, 31, was found at Chalk Farm Underground Station, near Camden, at 1.11am this morning.
Sarah was last seen leaving a block of apartments on Jamestown Road, Camden, approximately a 12-minute walk from where her body was found.
Police said in a statement: ‘At around 01:11hrs on Monday, 4 November emergency services were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Chalk Farm Underground Station.
‘While we await formal identification, Sarah’s family have been informed of this development. They have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.
’Officers from the Met are working with colleagues in the British Transport Police to look into the circumstances.’
’The death is being treated as unexpected but at this time it is not thought to be suspicious.’
Sarah’s last Instagram post, uploaded on October 26, showed her in Seoul, South Korea, at the city’s Burberry store.
Following news of her disappearance, Ms Cunningham’s friends and family flooded the post with comments.
@Chairdaice commented: ‘There is a world people that you don’t know nor they you, but want you home, safely, you are loved.’
And @achildofcaravaggio wrote: ‘At a time when your loved ones most need support and we have the fewest reassurances of your safety. In case you ever foolishly forget: I am never not thinking of you. We all love you! The community of people that support your practice loves you. I love you. Please come home.’
