Musk bankrolled shady pro-Trump PAC named for Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Elon Musk spent millions of dollars to solely bankroll a super political action committee that exploited the memory of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, falsely claiming that she had the same position on abortion as Donald Trump.

New disclosures filed with the Federal Election Commission revealed that Musk used a trust to make one donation of over $20 million to RBG PAC. That committee produced a website and ads that alleged that Trump and Ginsburg “think alike” on abortion.

According to the Associated Press, “Because of the short timeline between the donation and Thursday’s reporting deadline, Musk’s affiliation with the group—which he did not talk about publicly—wasn’t revealed until the filings became public.”
