Apart from cultural topics, the new platform offers information on citizenship, education, and relocating to the country
RT has unveiled a new multimedia initiative called ‘Gateway to Russia’, designed to provide international audiences with comprehensive resources on learning the Russian language and exploring the country’s rich history and culture. The project – which is funded by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media – aims to serve as a one-stop destination for those interested in Russia. It offers information on citizenship, education, and relocating to the country.
Project director Natalia Lebedeva highlighted the need for well-structured, up-to-date materials about Russia, particularly in formats that resonate with social media users. “International audiences often face a lack of high-quality, engaging content about Russia,” she said. “Gateway to Russia fills this gap.”
The platform will not only produce its own educational content, but also curate relevant resources from various sources, making it easier for users to learn about Russia’s linguistic, historical, and cultural dimensions. Editor-in-Chief Vsevolod Pulya noted the dual purpose of the project – providing foreigners with convenient access to vital information while connecting Russian cultural and education organizations with an international audience.
Operating as a ‘one-stop shop’, the portal will assist users with inquiries regarding relocation, education, and cultural immersion. Currently available in Russian, English, French, and Spanish, Gateway to Russia plans to introduce additional language options by 2025, further expanding its accessibility to global users.
