PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Soaking rains remain across the Pacific Northwest as wind speeds begin to taper down across the region Thursday.
Despite the wet and windy weather, temperatures will warm into the low- to mid-50s Thursday afternoon around Portland. Winds will remain gusty during the morning hours before fading later in the day. Rain showers remain, but will not be as widespread or persistent.
Rain accumulation will amount to nearly a half inch to three-quarters of an inch along the Willamette Valley Thursday. Even greater rain accumulation amounts are expected along the coast.
Another round of breezy conditions is expected Friday as the chance for mountain snow remains. Snow accumulation is expected to remain around 4,000' through the weekend. That's where additional feet of snow are likely from Thursday to Friday over higher elevations of the Cascades.
Temperatures will remain above average along the Willamette Valley. Highs in the low- to mid-50s will take Portland and Vancouver through the end of the weekend.
