Tonawanda schools show off Bills spirit before playoff game

0

CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) -- With pompoms, flags and a lot of excitement, Tonawanda middle and high schools surprised students with a welcome full of Bills spirit.

"We wanted it to be a great entrance for our students as they start their morning today and to our Buffalo Bills playoff era," Tonawanda Middle School principal Kristen Strible said. "Any opportunity that we're able to celebrate and bring our students and staff together in an exciting way is so important and so much fun."

One teacher, Kim Jachlewski, starts off every Bills Friday by playing the "Shout" song.

"It makes a great start to the day," said Jachlewski. "We're ending the week on a good note cheering on our Buffalo Bills, our hometown team, and it adds smiles as the students come up and they see their teachers being silly and dancing and singing the Shout song."

The spirit continues to fill the halls all throughout the district. From jerseys to bows, dressing in their favorite Bills gear from head to toe, students believe the Bills are going to win the wild card playoff game.
