Local teacher wins thousands on 'Wheel of Fortune'

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany woman competed on "Wheel of Fortune" Friday night.

Cara Green, a teacher of 25 years, teaches K-8 Spanish at St. Mary's in Waterford. She won Teacher of the Year a few years ago. Before playing, she shared about her life and the inspiration her students give her.

"The best honor for me since I've taught so many kids over the years, when they come back and see me, and I hear about all their successes," she said.

Cara played well on the game show. She earned $11,500 and came in second place.
