Nine hardcore Naxalites, including two women, have surrendered in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, citing disillusionment with the Maoist ideology and infighting. They were involved in major attacks on security forces and carried bounties totaling Rs 43 lakh. Their surrender is attributed to government development schemes and increased security force pressure.
