_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Snow will continue across the Northeast in the coastal
portions today, with snow ending early. Across the interior,
lake-effect snow and flurries will continue through the
afternoon. Higher snowfall accumulations are expected on
unpaved surfaces. Meanwhile, there will be a bit of rain to
start along the Southeast coast. Across the Southeast, it
will remain quite cold with high temperatures forecast to be
5-15 degrees below the historical average. Elsewhere, snow
will extend into the northern Plains during the day and into
the Upper Midwest at night. Snow can lead to reduced
visibility and slippery travel. A few showers will dampen
the Florida Peninsula and the Washington and Oregon
coastlines. Breezy conditions will continue to generate an
elevated fire danger across Southern California.
