Abbeville High School Band Hosts First Annual Rockin' the Red Barn Fundraiser

ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- The Abbeville High School Wildcat Marching Band will host its first annual Rockin' the Red Barn & Anything Over Rice Cook-Off from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 11. The fundraiser will mark the end of the band's competition season after they placed 4th in their class at the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA) State Marching Championships in November.

The event will take place at The Red Barn, 2901 Rodeo Rd., in Abbeville. It will feature live music, vendors, games, fun jumps, and more. The Wildcat Band will also perform as a thank you to those in attendance. The Abbeville High School Band Boosters are organizing the event, stating, "We are extremely proud of their determination and perseverance. Let us come together as a community and pack the venue to demonstrate that hard work and dedication yield tangible results."

Tickets are being sold at the gate — $12 for ages 12 and older, and $7 for children under 11.
