Olivia Dunne Denied From Buying Yankees Legend's Former Home
Olivia Dunne was just days away from moving into an apartment that was once owned by a baseball icon when she got some bad news.
In a TikTok video posted Tuesday entitled "I’m just disappointed that’s all," Dunne revealed that she was recently all set to make her first ever real estate purchase, a $1.59 million, three-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom dwelling at 345 W. 88th St in New York City.
Dunne said she was going to pay for the apartment, which was once the residence of New York Yankees legend Babe Ruth, in cash.
“It got to the point where the realtor was so confident, [my boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star pitcher] Paul [Skenes] and I went, I got an interior designer because I didn’t want to bring my college furniture to Babe Ruth’s apartment, that would be like, criminal,” Dunne told her followers.
However, just days before Dunne was scheduled to get the keys, the former LSU gymnast and star social media influencer says she was told she had been shot down.
“I get a call. The co-op board denied me,” Dunne said. "Pretty much the people in the building voted to not have me live there, which is fine."

Dunne added that she was unsure of the exact reason why the board members turned her away.
“Honestly, it wasn’t financial. It could have been, for all I know, they could have been Alabama fans and I went to LSU," Dunne joked.
"I have no clue. Maybe they didn’t want a public figure living there, but I was literally supposed to get the keys and that week they denied me."
A native of New Jersey, Dunne became a millionaire with her success through the NCAA's Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) policy. She's been able to turn her fame into a slew of opportunities, including multiple appearances in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue.
Unfortunately, it may have cost her the chance to own the property where the Babe lived from 1920 to 1940 with his second wife and daughter. The apartment went on the market back in March.
"It was just iconic. It was so cool that it was Babe Ruth's apartment...So, long story short, don't try to live in a co-op. You might get denied and you won't get Babe Ruth's apartment," Dunne closed out her video.
