Starry Nights Van Gogh experience returns to Botanical Gardens
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — If you haven't had the opportunity to catch Van Gogh's most popular art pieces come to life at the New York Botanical Gardens this summer, this may be your chance.
NYBG's Starry Nights experience returns this week, running through the rest of the summer on select Fridays and Saturdays.
The ticketed event allows both NYBG members and non-members to immerse themselves in floral and contemporary art from some of the best artists in the world, as well as botanical displays that inspired some of Van Gogh's most iconic works — this time under the stars.
"You’ve seen the paintings, now see them come to life in a way that only NYBG can deliver," NYBG said in the announcement.
Along with the stunning displays, the event includes a 10-minute drone show that recreates Van Gogh's Starry Night using hundreds of drones, as well as live music, cocktails and bites to eat.
From 7:30 to 10 p.m., stroll through a lawn of gigantic sunflowers and art featuring colorful floral displays.
