Why Is the Pool Never Used on 'Love Island USA'? Islanders Explain Reason They're Rarely In It
The villa on Love Island USA has a beautiful, large pool in the middle of it, but islanders are rarely ever seen using it.
In season six, Rob Rausch jumped in to get away from everything during an emotional moment, and in the season seven finale, all of the finalists jumped in fully clothed at the end.
During the season, you may see the islanders jump in after getting quite filthy during a challenge, or even just sitting on the side with their feet in.
So, why are they barely ever in the pool? Season seven finalists Jose “Pepe” Garcia-Gonzalez and Iris Kendall opened up about it in a recent interview!

“I was getting in the pool every day,” Pepe shared on The Viall Files.
“Well, if you get in the pool, you have to like, you know, redo everything,” Iris added. “And yeah, you can’t, it’s not fun to be like wet, wearing wet clothes ’til night time. If you go in the pool, then you’re probably going to be in the same swimsuit ’til night time.”
Iris confirmed that going in the pool makes it difficult due to continuity with editing, as you have to be in the same swimsuit all day.
“The boys were definitely jumping in,” Pepe said. “Boys were definitely, right after the gym were jumping in the pool ’cause it’s 90 degrees out there. We’re sweating like crazy and the only way to cool off, ’cause you can’t shower, is jump in the pool.”
Pepe even added that when the guys are working out, they don’t get that much time to get a full workout in as they called by producers to go elsewhere.
Fans will get to see Pepe and Iris back on TV screens in August for the Love Island USA season seven reunion - Get all the details here!
