Masvingo gears for investment conference

Masvingo province will this week host an inaugural investment conference that is expected to speed up the pivot towards becoming a US$8 billion provincial economy by 2030.

The historic conference running from July 21 to 26 at Urban Lifestyle Hotel in the ancient city will be held under the theme: “Invest in Masvingo: Your Gateway to Economic Growth for Vision 2030”.

Over 300 delegates are expected to attend the conference. Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira says the province is gearing up for the epochal event.

According to Minister Chazamira, the conference seeks to unlock the province’s economic potential and stimulate transformative development.

He revealed the attendance of players from various sectors, including investors, entrepreneurs, government officials and development partners who will all seek new opportunities in the province.

Several cabinet ministers, including Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister Dr Mthuli Ncube, are expected to grace the conference.

The conference officially kicks off today with a technical workshop that will cascade into the main conference featuring panel discussions, exhibitions and investment tours.
