Firefighters respond to house fire in SW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Fire crews responded to a house fire in southwest Oklahoma City Monday morning.

Officials say crews responded to a home near SW 40th St. and Independence Ave. just after 6 a.m.

Firefighters were able to get the flames knocked down quickly. The residents of the home made it out safely and no injuries have been reported.

It is unclear how the fire started, but it was contained to the upstairs portion of the house.
