Very hot start to the week, tropical rains return Thursday

Very hot and mostly quiet weather kicks off the workweek in Acadiana. Highs the next few days will be in the low to mid 90s with a heat index hotter than 105° in many areas. A pop up shower or storm is possible during the afternoons as rain chances stay low at 20% today and tomorrow.

The weather this week looks like Deja Vu as more tropical moisture moves across the northern Gulf. Tropical rains arrive on Thursday and could stay with Acadiana through the weekend.
