Man found dead in Olentangy River near downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One man is dead after being found in the Olentangy River by rescue teams near downtown Columbus Monday morning.

According to a police dispatcher, officers and rescue teams were called to the river near the 600 block of West Nationwide Boulevard. 911 calls reported seeing one person face down in the water.

The victim was pronounced dead at 8:05 a.m., per a police dispatcher. Police said no foul play is suspect at this time as the investigation continues.
