NCERT has addressed concerns about the new class 8 Social Science textbook. Reports suggested the removal of regional resistance movements. NCERT clarified that these topics are not dropped. They will feature in the second volume of the textbook. This volume is expected in Sept-Oct 2025. It will cover movements like the Paika rebellion and the Kuka movement.
