Air India received nine show cause notices over five safety violations in the past six months, with enforcement action completed in one case, the civil aviation ministry told the Rajya Sabha. This follows a fatal crash of an Air India Boeing 787-8 last month that killed 260 people and injured 81. The DGCA inspected 31 of 33 similar aircraft, finding minor issues in eight.
