ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The World War II-era film that began shooting in Troy last week will be moving to Albany. Several road closures and parking restrictions will be in place on Wednesday and Thursday as "Triumph" continues production downtown.
The film, described by the production team as a "historical drama and love story," is set in 1939 and based on the true account of a Rabbi and his wife in Nazi-occupied Berlin. Actors will be wearing "period-authentic Nazi costumes" and Nazi imagery will be displayed, according to officials, so residents should not be alarmed.
"We want to assure the community that this content is being filmed with the utmost care and intended to convey the emotional and historical truth of the area," the production team said. "The filmmakers are working closely with local authorities to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to minimize disruption and clearly communicate the nature of the scenes to the public."
The film opened production in downtown Troy on July 14. Fake smoke was emitted from St. Mary's Church as part of the film's special effects.
