France welcomes the holding of an informal meeting in a broader format on the Cyprus issue in New York on 16 and 17 July, under the aegis of the United Nations Secretary-General. After the Geneva meeting on 17 and 18 March, this meeting and the adoption of new cooperation initiatives announced by the Secretary-General testify to a positive momentum towards restoring trust.
