Christopher Walker Joins CEPA as Vice President
Washington, DC, July 22, 2025 – Christopher Walker has joined the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) as Vice President. In this capacity, he will spearhead the institution’s research agenda and external affairs strategy at a pivotal time for the transatlantic alliance and for strengthening cooperation between Europe and the United States on key challenges.
Walker comes to CEPA with a recognized track record in international affairs and policy thought leadership. He was previously Vice President for Studies and Analysis at the National Endowment for Democracy, where he oversaw the department responsible for NED’s multifaceted analytical work.

Before joining NED, Walker was Vice President for Strategy and Analysis at Freedom House. Walker has also served as an Adjunct Professor of International Affairs at New York University. He holds a BA degree from Binghamton University and an MA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Walker has testified before congressional committees and appeared regularly in the media. His articles have appeared in numerous publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, among others. He is co-editor with William J. Dobson and Tarek Masoud of the book Defending Democracy in an Age of Sharp Power (2023).
