Alison Brie Says She Wants to Be in 'Scream 7', Shares Her Problem with the New Movies
Alison Brie isn’t done with horror movies just yet!
The 42-year-old actress has been promoting her latest movie, Together, with her husband Dave Franco. While promoting it, she’s been reflecting on another scary movie she was in – and why she wants to return to the franchise!
Alison appeared in 2011′s Scream 4 as Rebecca Walters, publicist for Sidney Prescott’s book tour. “Alison was famously in Scream 4. I feel like with new Scream rules, even though she dies brutally, we could bring her back,” Dave said on the podcast, citing the news that actors whose characters had been killed off would come back for the new movie.
“Yeah, where’s my role in Scream 7?” Alison quipped.
According to Alison, too many survivors in the most recent pair of movies has actually worked to its detriment. The “core four” characters (played by Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown) all survived the two most recent movies.
“Too many people live,” Alison said, sharing what she would do to improve the slasher franchise. “The ‘core four’ needs to die. We killed [Jamie Kennedy’s Randy Meeks] in Scream 2. We should be down to two of the ‘core four,’ just by Scream 7.”
Only time will tell whether or not Alison gets her wish to return to Scream 7.
