“It’s the most powerful moment when I get to perform it,” Selena admitted. “That’s honestly the only reason I would ever do a tour again, to perform ‘Who Says.’”
While she hasn’t toured since 2016, Selena said she’d have to “take it down an octave from each year I’ve sang it” if she were to perform “Who Says” today.
She then noted that she would consider re-recording the track because her voice sounds “young” on the original.
“I need to redo it,” Selena said. “I should recut it.”
She then said that she recently heard “Who Says” on the radio while abroad and she started “tearing up” when she listened to it.
“I was like, ‘Why the f–k am I tearing up to my own song?’” Selena said. “But it was because it was the little me who was there saying these really powerful messages that I still need to hear.”
Also in the interview, Selena talked about her friendship with Taylor Swift, marrying Benny Blanco, her mental health, and so much more.
