Alyson Stoner Jokes About Their Friendship with Missy Elliott 23 Years After 'Work It' Music Video

Alyson Stoner is joking about their friendship with rapper Missy Elliott.

The 31-year-old dancer and actor was featured in the 54-year-old rapper’s “Work It” music video in 2003. They were one of many dancers featured in the video and showed off their moves in an all-white outfit against the backdrop of an abandoned playground.

In a TikTok video they posted recently, Alyson played up a viral trend about receiving repetitive questions. For the trend, Alyson joked about regularly being asked about their friendship with Missy.

Alyson lipsynced to the audio and put their own captions on the screen. Imitating questions they regularly get, Alyson wrote on the screen, “Do you still talk to Missy Elliott?”

In response to the question, Alyson wrote back, “Oh, I was 9. That was 23 years ago.”

Despite their response, the imaginary interviewer continued on with the same line of questioning. Alyson‘s captions on the video continued by asking why Alyson doesn’t just call the rapper.

“I was 9. We never hung out. It would’ve been inappropriate,” Alyson‘s captions continued. The questioning went for another round before the questions took a surprising twist when they asked if Alyson could get Missy to perform at their wedding.

Fans in the comments applauded Missy for keeping professional boundaries and joked about people forgetting that Alyson was just hired to be a dancer in the video.
