BAD NEWS for South African bowler! Got into trouble Right after ODI debut. The reason is… His name is…
Right after his ODI debut, South African bowler Prenelan Subrayen has been reported for a foul bowling action. Prenelan made his debut in the 50-over format during a match against Australia. International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday reported that concerns have been raised over the legality of Subrayen’s bowling action.
“Subrayen will undergo an Independent Assessment of his bowling action at an ICC Accredited Testing facility to determine the legality of his bowling action,” the ICC said in a statement.
Speaking about the clash, Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first. South African team posted a score of 296 runs for 8 wickets in their assigned 50 overs. The Aussies then came out to chase their target, but failed to do so as the Proteas wrapped them up for a score of 198 runs, winning the first match of the series by 98 runs.
