Caruana joins the leaders after beating Firouzja in the Sinquefield Cup Round 3 - 3

Fabiano Caruana was the only winner in Round 3 of the Sinquefield Cup.

Caruana took advantage of a few Firouzja inaccuracies, 21...Raf8? (21...Rff8!) was a real error, not exploited 22.a3?! (22.Bh3!) 22...Qd8? (22...Qe7!=) but it was only later that the real collapse happened when Firouzja allowed Caruana's d-pawn to advance.

Levon Aronian escaped a lost position against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, 53.Bf6? (53.a3 was the win) was the point MVL erred.

Nodirbek Abdusattorov pressed against Praggnanandhaa but had to settlefor a draw in the end. Jan-Krzysztof Duda and Wesley So drew a very quiet game.
