Piedmont PD and OCPD VICE Unit partner in massage parlor sting operation
PIEDMONT, Okla. (KFOR) - Authorities announced an investigation into a local massage business has resulted in one arrest with no injuries reported.
Police say the Piedmont PD and the Oklahoma City Police Department VICE Unit conducted a investigation after receiving multiple community complaints of possible illegal activity at a local massage business at 242 Edmond Road NE.
The investigation concluded, resulting in one arrest on prostitution-related charges, said police.
Chief Shayne Clark of the Piedmont Police Department emphasized the importance of law enforcement partnerships and community support:
“Our citizens brought forward their concerns, and we acted on them. While some may view prostitution as a victimless crime, the reality is that businesses like this are often connected to human trafficking and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. By taking action, we’re protecting our community and ensuring that criminal activity does not take root in Piedmont. This investigation highlights the strong cooperation between the Piedmont Police Department, our community, and our law enforcement partners at OCPD.”
No further information has been released at this time.
