Bridgerton is one of Netflix’s biggest hit TV shows, and fans are always wondering how many seasons the series will last on the streaming service.

Shonda Rhimes, executive producer of the show, revealed the exact response.

When asked how long the series will run, she responded, “Exactly eight [seasons].”

“The Bridgerton [book] series is eight children. Violet Bridgerton and all eight of her children married. So every season is a child,” she confirmed to Express, which is what fans had believed would happen with the series.

Meanwhile, if you didn’t see, the Bridgerton season four cast is undergoing a big shakeup and one star confirmed she was not asked back.

The next season is expected to debut in 2026.
