A Beloved Band Is Crashing a Disney Ride Next Year
Disney just pulled a move that’s got both theme park junkies and Muppets fans buzzing: The Electric Mayhem is crashing Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Yep, Animal, Dr. Teeth, Janice, Floyd, Zoot, and Lips are rolling in to take over one of Disney’s most legendary rides, and fans are going crazy over it.
"I am so psyched for this!" said one fan on Reddit. "It makes more sense to me than Aerosmith, honestly. I love the Muppets."
"I’ve always wanted a greater presence of them in the parks," another chimed in. "I feel like Disney really hasn’t done the Muppets fairly since acquiring them, and they need more exposure to modern audiences. Let kids today see who the Muppets are!"
If you grew up with The Muppets, you know the crew was always chaos, always loud, and always way cooler than anyone gave them credit for. And let’s be real, there’s been a hole in Disney parks ever since MuppetVision 3D closed.
That show was peak Jim Henson weirdness, and when it shut down, the internet didn’t just shrug. It straight up mourned. Fans were salty, and for good reason. It was the last big Muppets attraction, and losing it felt like Disney was packing the band up for good.
But now it's like Disney said, "Screw it, let’s bring the band back together." And instead of sticking them in a quiet theater, they’re dropping The Electric Mayhem into an epic setting that used to be the home of the iconic rock band Aerosmith. As one of the wildest rides in the Disney Parks, the Muppets have some big shoes to fill.
But I don't think The Electric Mayhem will have any problem. I mean, imagine Animal screaming on the drums while you’re being launched from 0 to 57 mph. It just works.
That's because this mashup hits two sweet spots: the nostalgia of The Muppets (for those of you who grew up on Saturday morning chaos) and the adrenaline rush of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. It’s the kind of crossover nobody saw coming, but once you hear it, you’re like, "Yeah, that slaps."
So for anyone who still feels that sting from losing Muppets 3D, it's going to be OK. You’re not just sitting in a theater watching the gang goof around. You'll literally be riding shotgun with them, screaming through loops and corkscrews some time in 2026.
