PHLPost strengthens its commitment to deliver “affordable postal services to every Filipino community”
The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) Area 4 Southern Luzon has partnered with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cavinti, Laguna, to establish a new postal station, ensuring that residents can conveniently access essential postal services right in their municipality.
The newly inaugurated postal station, located in a building provided by the municipality, was formally opened by Cavinti Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo, PHLPost Area 4 Director Amadeo Tura, and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager JM Gallardo. They were joined by Area Cluster Supervisor Patrick Putungan, IT Officers Orlando Decano, Ruel Guarte, Roy Lopez, and PHLPost Marketing Specialist Maila Estiva.
Through this partnership, the LGU will provide the facility and hire personnel, while PHLPost will supervise operations, supply marketing equipment and initial stocks, and train LGU staff in postal operations. The initiative is supported by a Sangguniang Bayan resolution authorizing the LGU to operate the postal station in coordination with PHLPost.
The new Cavinti Postal Station will offer a full range of services, including acceptance and delivery of mail and parcels, the sale of stamps and philatelic items, and other postal transactions. This collaboration expands PHLPost’s reach in fulfillment of its universal service obligation, bringing “last mile delivery” to more Filipino households.
“By working with local governments like Cavinti, we strengthen our commitment to deliver efficient, accessible, and affordable postal services to every Filipino community,” said PHLPost Area 4 Director Amadeo Tura.
PHLPost, the country’s designated national postal operator and an active member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), continues to modernize and expand its services across the Philippines. This partnership reflects its mission of bridging people, communities, and opportunities—both here and abroad.
