COSAFA sends condolences to Comoros FF on passing of Mr. Tourqui Salim

The COSAFA family sends its sincere condolences to the Comoros Football Federation (FFC) on the passing of Mr. Tourqui Salim, the former president of the FFC and a leading figure in the growth and development of the game in the country.

Mr. Salim will forever be remembered as the father of the FFC’s affiliation to FIFA, having worked with determination to secure the admission of the Federation into the global football family.

His dedication and vision marked a historic milestone in the development of football in the Comoros.

As a mark of respect, a moment of silence will be held ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2026 | COSAFA Qualifier fixture between Comoros and Zimbabwe on Monday.
